Litigation about construction is different from many other matters:

• There are often three parties: the owner, the general contractor and the architect.
• More than in other situations, jobs are often given to subcontractors, who then subcontract again, etc.
• It is very easy to invoke a defect and to upset all litigation in technical cases.

exemple: Interconstruct BV from the Nederlands constructs a warehouse in Spain for a French customer with a guarantee from a bank of Malta. The contract is in French.
